In this modern spin on the classic tale of the Djinn in a bottle, the british scholar Alithea (Tilda Swinton) purchases a mysterious bottle on her trip to Istanbul and by accident releases the Djinn (Idris Elba) trapped inside. To regain his freedom, the Djinn offers her three wishes, which she refuses to use, as she knows about all the tales, stories and the danger of wishing.
