The New York city doctor William Harford and his wife Alice seem to live a perfect marriage, having a little daughter. One evening after consuming a joint, discussing about love and faith, Alice confesses that she almost eloped with a sailor during a holiday. William, now very frustrated, wants to take revenge on her. At the same night he wanders through the streets of New York searching an erotic adventure.
