The film version of the same-named musical thematizing the impact of gentrification on an immigrant district: Usnavi de la Vega (Anthony Ramos) lives in Washington Heights running a little wine store. Despite feeling comfortable in his recent home and being attached to the people there, he dreams of returning to the place of his childhood, the Dominican Republic.
