In 1790 Barnabas Collins is a glamorous sovereign and resides appropriately on his stately home Collinwood Manor. He enjoys his life. But after having broken the heart of the witch Angelique she turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. Then, in 1972 he is freed from his grave by accident to be confronted with a technological society in a very colorful world. Also, his descendants live a dissolute lifestlye and have let Collinwood Manor become a shabby and run-down place.Eventually Angelique reappears -- the total chaos is completed.
