Based on a true story, the movie follows Ron Stallworth, an African-American police officer from Colorado, who successfully manages to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan via telephone calls, because everything is possible if you sound caucasian on the phone. When the KKK demands a meeting in person he sets them up with the help of a white collegue, who eventually is supposed to become head of the local branch.
