At first sight, Donnie Darko could be a normal, uncomplicated teenager. Orderly family circumstances, understanding parents, a nice girlfriend. But Donnie has a mental problem. Or rather, an imaginary rabbit named Frank. A three-meter tall, rather demonic rabbit. At night, when everything is asleep, his sonorous voice speaks to him and gives him advice - which isn‘t always helpful.
